VMC has established links to a range of electronic point of sale systems. These systems offer state of the art operation, together with Microsoft driven management software.

VMC has unveiled a touch screen Chip and Pin terminal as the development of a truly cashless working environment becomes a reality.

It's part of our philosophy to reduce, or wherever possible remove once and for all, the traditional cost and security issues of handling cash. We have developed a complete cashless environment, including payroll deduction, web and credit card payments as well as standard vending and catering cashless card transactions.

The new Chip and Pin loader allows customers to insert a standard credit or debit card and transfer money straight from that card onto their smartcard. Thanks to Chip and Pin technology there's improved security and significantly reduced chance of fraud.

Managing Director Nick Bate explained: “This new terminal supports the latest Chip and Pin technology and represents a major step forward as the industry aims to reduce the transaction card costs of the credit card issuers because they won't have to support the same amount of fraud they have been underwriting until now. Hopefully the only loser will be the criminal.”

In addition there is also a dual function option with the addition of a standard note loader for improved user friendliness.

Nick added: “We have also introduced a dual function PIN terminal which offers users the ability to either top-up their card direct from payroll or collect money loaded via the internet from a web account.”

He concluded: “Overall the new technology is very popular since everyone is becoming familiar with Chip and Pin in retail environments and there's a lot of momentum building. We believe this is definitely the way forward and the future.
